February 2022 | Lisa Brown is the new president of Fayetteville wealth management firm Greenwood Gearhart Inc. The company announced Brown’s promotion Monday (Feb. 7) in a news release.
Brown, previously the firm’s chief operating officer, is also now a partner. Brock Gearhart, the president and CEO since 2013, remains as CEO.
“Lisa is a tremendous asset to Greenwood Gearhart; she is a great leader and has been integral to the firm’s success over the past six years,” Gearhart said in a statement. “Our partnership to date has allowed us to broadly expand our capabilities for our clients. With Lisa as president, we are positioned to further innovate as a leader in our industry.”
A Fort Smith native and 2002 University of Arkansas graduate, Brown started with Greenwood Gearhart, formerly M.A. Greenwood & Associates, in 2001. She later spent several years working for Houston Financial, an office of Northwestern Mutual based in Oklahoma City.
Brown returned to Northwest Arkansas and Greenwood Gearhart in 2016 as director of financial planning. The firm appointed her to COO in 2019.
Greenwood Gearhart is one of the state’s largest independent investment advisory firms, with roughly 800 million in client-managed assets in 33 states. The company has 14 employees.
